Here at Angelic Touch our goal is to do more than just clean your home. We take many steps when serving you to ensure that we also leave things as sanitary as possible. One of these is proper hand hygiene which I discussed in a previous blog post. Another approach that we implemented years ago to protect your family is our color-coded cleaning system.
I know that this process may not seem that exciting. Many of our clients don’t even notice it being used during their cleanings. However, systems such as ours have been proven to be highly effective in reducing the spread of germs and bacteria. This is because cross-contamination can be a major issue when cleaning homes and offices. Different color sponges and rags prevent us from accidentally using the same sponge in the kitchen that was used in the toilet. Or for example, using the same rag in the break room that was just used to wipe down a phone.
It also allows our team leaders to quickly spot someone not following the procedure correctly. When training employees that have previously worked for other cleaning companies, the new adjustment can be difficult at first. We have found that informing our employees that we use this system for our client’s protection as well as our own, helps them to understand its importance. It is our responsibility to do all that we possibly can to cut down on the number of germs that could be carried from one area to another while cleaning.
